We have always admired the illustrated herbals of the past, and have created our own version of illustrations inspired by the wonderful text in John Gerarde’s Herbal published 1633. The back of each card features a quote from the herbal which includes his description of the flowers depicted on the front of the card and it’s purpose, medicinal or otherwise.(see sample below)

The cards measure 4 1/2 "x 6 1/4” with an extra leaf in the center. Printed in our Greenwich, New York studio on recycled paper. Blank interior.
